CLIENT SERVICE AGREEMENT | TERMS & CONDITIONS

When your dog is with us, its health and welfare are our priority. We want to make their time with us a happy experience. So please read our terms & conditions.

CURRENT/UP TO DATE VACCINATIONS

By using our services, owners verify their dogs are up to date with their vaccinations.

HEALTH OR MEDICAL PROBLEMS & SENIOR DOGS

Bathing/drying procedures can occasionally be stressful especially for a senior dog or a dog with health problems. It can sometimes expose medical problems or aggravate a current one. This agreement will give us at Mac & Mabel's permission to seek veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary by us. We will do our very best to contact you first, if no contact has been possible, we will take your pet to our authorised vet. It is agreed that all expenses for veterinary care will be covered by the pet’s owner. All of us at Mac & Mabel’s are canine first aid trained.

FLEAS/TICKS

Mac & Mabel's strives to be a flea/tick free salon. If your dog has a flea or tick infestation, we will ask that you reschedule your spa appointment once the flea or tick problem is under control. Dogs with a flea or tick problem carry a risk of anaemia, infections, tapeworms and other health problems. We suggest you contact your vet for the best advice on treatment.

If fleas are found on your dog during the appointment, we will bathe your dog in a flea shampoo and will have to treat the salon, this will incur an extra £15 fee on your spa bill. If ticks are found an additional £5 will be added for their removal.

ACCIDENTS

There is always the possibility an accident may occur. Even though we will use extreme care with your pet in all situations, if your dog is not accepting of any of the processes it may move around excessively, it may be dangerous for us to continue.

AGGRESSIVE OR DANGEROUS DOGS

Owners MUST inform us if your dog bites, has bitten or is aggressive to people other pets or specific bathing/drying procedures. We reserve the right to refuse or stop treatments of your dog at any time before or during the spa process. The treatment will be charged in full. If your dog should bite, the owner agrees to be responsible for all related medical bills, recovery costs, loss of income and equipment damage.

PAYMENTS

All services must be paid for prior to the appointment. We accept card, cash or bank transfer. Any agreed extra treatments during the appointment will be payable at the end.

CANCELLATIONS

We require 48 hours’ notice for cancellation. Notice received within 48 hours of the appointment will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service booked. A no show fee of 100% of the cost of the scheduled service will be charged if the client does not turn up or is not available at the time of their appointment.

CONSULTATIONS

There will be a consultation prior to all appointments. WE ARE NOT GROOMERS, so no cutting or clipping will be offered. We will offer a full luxurious pamper package for your dog. If your dog’s coat is deemed too matted at the consultation, we will advise you to attend an appointment with your groomer. Just a wash and drying process will make the mats worse.

TEETH CLEANING

Teeth cleaning appointments are limited to 20 minutes for each session. You will need to book follow on appointments for effective plaque removal and dental health. Please check with your vet that an ultrasound teeth cleaning process is suitable for your dog. If your dog resists persistently or is aggressive during the appointment the treatment will stop, full payment will still be required.

GENERAL

Please make sure your dog has been to the toilet before any appointments to avoid accidents in the pamper palace. There will be an extra charge if any accidents do occur.
